On Thursday May 7th of 2015 Johan Sjiem Fat held a lecture on oral pleadings at the University of Aruba Faculty of Law. Johan Sjiem Fat detailed his own attempts at becoming a better orator and discussed a variety of ways in which to persuasively engage the listener.
By drawing inspiration from the works of Cicero, through humorous citations and with a poetic imagination, whilst expounding the revered “I have a dream” speech of Martin Luther King Jr., Johan encouraged the students to strive to harness an eloquent diction.
